To register for the 2009 Antioch Retreat you must be a high school student registered at St. Bartholomew the Apostle Parish, Scotch Plains, NJ, complete a Registration Form and submit the $75.00 Retreat Fee by Febuary 8, 2009. All parish high school students are welcomed and encouraged to sign-up, regardless of the high school they attend whether it is public or private. Please note: if you are unable to attend because you are not able to pay for this retreat, PLEASE (you or your parents) contact Fr. Kevin or Mrs. Patricia Krema in private. We will not turn away any student who has a desire to attend this retreat but do not have the financial means, We will be able to assist a few students with a Full- or Partial Scholarship thanks to the generosity of parishioners and local businesses.

While this is a parish retreat, and sign-up is on a a first-come, first-serve basis, we will accept registrations from students from neighboring parishes who would like to attend only if they are invited by a St. Bartholomew student parishioner or member of the St. Bartholomew Youth Group or recommended by any St. Bartholomew parishioner or staff member. Due to the limited space, we can only register a total of 52 candidates for the weekend.

IMPORTANT: The deadline for registering for the 2009 Antioch Retreat is
Sunday, February 8, 2009 - *EXTENDED TO MARCH 8, 2009*. Due to the amount of planning involved, no registrations will be accepted after February 8th so please sign- up as early as possible.

We ask all students participating in Spring sports and activities to contact their coaches and/or advisors to let them know that they will be at a church retreat on the weekend of March 20-22, 2009 and unavailable for practices, scrimmages and/or games and activities from 7:00pm Friday, March 20 until 6:00 pm Sunday, March 22.

Candidates must commit to the entire weekend. While we understand everyone has busy schedules, partially participating in the Antioch Retreat is not allowed (barring medical or other emergencies). Please clear your calendar and be prepared to have the weekend of your life!

I give full permission for my son/daughter to participate in the Antioch Retreat Weekend held by St. Bartholomew the Apostle Parish from March 20th 7:00PM through March 22nd 6:00 PM. I understand that it is to be held at Union Catholic High School on Friday and Saturday then on the parish grounds on Sunday. If I have any questions or concerns, I will take the initiative to gain information regarding regulations and guidelines by speaking to one of the leaders. I am aware that the young people will be sleeping in assigned sleep groups separated by gender, in the homes of host families who have volunteered their time and homes, have participated in the Archdiocesan "Protecting God´s Children" certification and have been approved by the Pastor. I fully expect to be notified if my child is disrespectful or uncooperative. My child is fully able to care for him/herself independent of any assistance, however she/he has the following health condition or is in need of the following diet or medication:
If medical attention is required in the course of the weekend, I hereby give permission for my son/daughter to be treated. I furthermore completely absolve and release St. Bartholomew the Apostle Parish, Union Catholic High School, Antioch, or any individuals helping on this retreat from any legal or financial liability related to my child´s participation in this weekend.
