What is the Antioch B-Team?

The Antioch B-Team consists of a group of adult and 8th Grade volunteers who assist with meal preparation, sleep homes and liturgical music for the Antioch Retreat Weekend.

Under the direction of Mrs. Patricia Krema, the Logistics Coordinator, the Antioch B-Team helps in the following three areas and elsewhere as needed:

Host Families: Open their home to a small group of 6-9 students. Provide transportation to and from the facility to their home and back the next day.

Meal Preparation: Both adults and 8th Grade Confirmation Candidates assist with the preparation, cooking, and serving of all meals for the students on retreat. As part of their volunteer efforts, the 8th Graders also come together on Friday evening, the start of the Antioch Retreat, and bake fresh cookies for the retreatants (and themselves!).

Music: The Closing Antioch Mass coincides with the regular 5:00 pm Sunday evening Mass at St. Bartholomew the Apostle Parish. Monica Caldwell, who directs the Young People's 5:00 PM Sunday Music Ministry, will also prepare the music for the closing Mass (Fourth Sunday of Lent) Liturgy.
